Intensive Fencing Workshop

Join our intensive but FUN beginner's fitness workout - with swords! No experience needed - just a whole lot of energy and enthusiasm! Get fit and learn the solid foundations of fencing - posture, positions, footwork plus the added benefits of strength and conditioning routines.

We keep out class sizes small (8)  in order to give maximum attention to each individual. This will be on a first come, first served basis. Your place will only be confirmed after we have received BOTH registration form and payment. See registration & payment details below. 

FIRST 5 WEEKS PROGRAM

Week 1:

Warm up

Engarde position

Step forward, backward, lunge, step forward lunge

Keep the distance

Kit up

How to hold the foil

Hit direct

Hit with step forward

Hit with lunge

Fence with partner (no parries) 

 

Week 2:

Warm up

footwork basic + Ballestra forward-, backward

Keep the distance

Kit up

Parries: quarte and sixte 

Quarte bit attack

Talk about the rules in foil

Fence

 

Week 3:

Warm up

Footwork basic + cross steps

Parries: octave and septime 

Bit-disengage attack

Week 4:

For this reason, we regret that fees are not refundable once a course has started and that no partial refund can be granted for classes not attended. Diamond Blade Fencing Club cannot accept any responsibility for unforeseen changes in students' circumstances that may prevent attendance.
