World University medalist Jonathan Webb look forward to welcoming all the warriors to our summer multi-skill and fencing camp! Our children's camps are designed especially for kids between 6 -12 years old - we make sure to give equal attention to beginners and experienced fencers alike!

 

The focus of the camp will be the development of foundation fencing skills, physical fitness alongside mindfulness and sportsmanship. We have developed a creative, multi-skill programme that fosters problem-solving skills, develops coordinated movements by engaging the participants in agility games and a large variety of purposeful activities. 

 

A large part of the camp will focus on fencing foundations, controlled drills and a range of footwork and blade work exercises along with essential refereeing and technical fencing knowledge. We will hold individual and team competitions where everyone will gain invaluable skills as sportsmen and sportswomen.

 

Last but not least, the students will be doing some mindfulness exercises and meditation to complete a well-rounded experience.

 

In order to accommodate current COVID-19 government regulations and British Fencing guidelines, our camp will:

• have a limit of not more than 15 students per session

• observe strict hand sanitation at regular intervals

• implement strict hygiene and sanitation of equipment at the start and finish of each session

• make sure that no equipment is shared between participants in each bubble
