Jonathan Webb

COVID-19 OFFICER - OFFICIALLY REGISTERED WITH BRITISH FENCING ASSOCIATION

Ranked 3rd amongst Great Britain's best sabeurs, JJ Webb began fencing at the age of 11 years old and swiftly worked his way to the top of the rankings. In April 2016 at the age of 20, he took gold at the Senior British Nationals and became the 2016 Senior National Sabre Champion.

 

In the same year, JJ also took the bronze at the London International Satellite event. In the 2014-2015 season, he underwent selection alongside the top nine senior fencers and was successful in being one of only six sabre fencers to be placed on British Fencing World Class Program to prepare for the 2020 Olympics. His Olympic preparations in the USA have recently been cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic but is hoping to gear up once again towards qualifying in the the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.

 

JJ enjoys playing golf, listening to music and cooking healthy meals. He has also recently been awarded a scholarship to study psychology at Middlesex University in London.
